Although the editor tools of blogproviders have ameliorated a lot in the past years, it is still nothing like a word processor. Yes, you can add rich, formatted text, insert hyperlinks and pictures, and sometimes even check your spelling. But when you're used to Microsoft Word – like me – you know you have so much more possibilities that you want to use when you write your blog. But now, with Microsoft Word 2007, you can! And what's even better: it's plain simple! J
First, you need to create a new Blog by clicking the Microsoft Office Button and selecting New. In the New Document window, instead of selecting Blank document, click New Blog Post, as shown below:
When you don't have any blog accounts configured yet, Word will ask you to select a blogprovider.
Depending on the provider you've selected, you will need to provide additional information, like User Name, Password and where you want to store your pictures. In my case, I'm using TypePad, but you can select other providers as well.
Once you have created your account, Word will create a new document and show you the Blog Post tab in the new Ribbon, which allows you to go to your Homepage, Insert categories, open existing blog postings and to manage your accounts. You start by entering a Post Title for your blog…
…and then you can start creating your text. The nice thing is that you can use all the fancy stuff of Microsoft Word to format your text.
You can also insert SmartArt objects and post them to your blog as a picture:
You can also easily insert a table and apply a nice format:

When you're finished with your document, you can decide to post the blog as a draft first, or post it immediately to your weblog. I will cross my fingers now, and hope it will work…but I guess, when you're reading this post, nothing went wrong! J
On thursday 29th November Microsoft Belgium organized a Technet Evening. The subject of this session was: SQL Performance tuning for Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Speaker was Steven Renders. Steven is an experienced SQL Server consultant and MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer) at Plataan.
The session was a great success. Steven received compliments from both attendees and from Microsoft.
