Software implementers are under increasing pressure to come up with quality solutions as quickly as possible within a set budget.
Projects are not precision operations; they are full of uncertainty, risks, complex tasks, a range of different stakeholders and masses of to do’s.
Therefore Microsoft created an implementation methodology specially designed for Microsoft Dynamics implementations.
MICROSOFT SURE STEP METHODOLOGY
Drive succesfull implementation projects
Improves overall experience
The Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step Methodology is a comprehensive implementation methodology describing the processes and disciplines necessary to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics SL.
The implementation of all these products has many similarities which is why the methodology has been structured as a general methodology with a product specific layer for each product.
The methodology is a phased-based, end-to end approach. It addresses all phases of an implementation project. It is scalable as it applies to small, mid-market and enterprise customers.
Sure Step provides a consistent, repeatable and systematic approach to implementation and supports a modular approach to projects, enabling partners to use various components, tools, and deliverables to meet customers needs.
Navigating in the methodology can be done in three ways:
- using the tree structure in the navigation pane
- using visio process diagrams
- using the diagram on the introduction page
The tool contains multiple tools and templates. These tools and templates are available on the activity, task and subtask pages in the tools.
Examples of tools and templates:
- project charter
- project plan
- WBS/Estimation worksheet
- ....
